2017 CBIA Sand Dollar Awards – Product Design of the Year
On Saturday, September 30, 2017, the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) – Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) presented the 2017 Sand Dollar Awards at the Ritz Carlton Tiburon.
The coveted Sand Dollar Award is the highest accolade given to member builders, developers, architects, remodelers, interior design firms, landscape architects, trades and marketing, sales and/or advertising professionals who have demonstrated building, design and marketing excellence in Collier County.
Local architecture and planning firm Weber Design Group was awarded two Sand Dollar Awards for Product Design of the Year by an Architect.
The Endless Gulf Vistas project, located in Isles of Capri, won in the $4,000,001 to $4,500,000 category. The Old Florida style private estate of 6,400 square feet of living space also garnered awards for Tom Christian Construction and Jinx McDonald Interior Designs.
In the $2,250,001 to $2,500,000 category, the winner was Waterfront Wonderland, a transitional West Indies style private residence of just under 4,600 square feet of living area constructed by Big Island Builders who also won as the builder.
A third Weber Design Group project, the Sophia II model built by Stock Development in Quail West, was recognized for Product Design of the Year by a Builder in the $3,500,001 to $4,000,000 category.
Entries were judged anonymously based on overall exterior and interior architecture, design appeal, function and creative use of space, and integration of the plan design with site consideration.
