Weber Design Group Announces Completion of Luxury Home in Olde Naples

February 1, 2011

Naples, FL Weber Design Group, Inc. President Bill Weber announced that construction of a 6,781 square feet Olde Naples residence custom designed by the Naples-based Architectural firm has been completed. The coastal-style residence is situated on a large lake front estate property and includes four bedrooms, five full baths, a pool bath, maid quarters, an executive style office, an exercise room with sauna and an expansive outdoor living area. Weber’s design takes full advantage of the views afforded by the home’s appealing surroundings and the abundance of natural light provided by its southern exposure.

“This particular home has a great deal of subtle charm,” said Weber. “The site is quite large and provides ample space for landscaping that contributes to the privacy of the setting and to the creation of open view corridors to the lake. The design takes advantage of the view possibilities with a 32 feet long bank of glass doors that have transoms to 10 feet. The view encompasses the pool area, back yard and lake. These doors, combined with the home’s southern exposure, provide a tremendous amount of natural light in the main living areas.”

The home’s charm is evident upon arrival. The exterior is executed with Hardy plank siding and a metal roof with exposed truss tails. The body of the home is accented with custom railings at all balconies, small dormers and multiple gable end roofs. The shutters used on the majority of the windows provide added contrast.

A spacious and inviting entry system sets the tone for the remainder of this magnificent home. A large two story foyer, gracious staircase and second floor open balcony work in harmony to frame the fantastic views offered by the bank of glass doors. While the views are more than a bit compelling, the kitchen is the true highlight of this home. Designed to the owners’ precise requirements, the kitchen includes an oversized walk-in pantry, double islands – one that serves as a maximum preparation space, the other that includes seating to the outside – and a large cook-top with a 42-inch television built into the backsplash that can be viewed from anywhere in the room. Simply put, the kitchen is perfectly suited for entertaining and prepping during football games and other events.

Opposite the main living area is an exercise room and sauna with a pool bath and a dressing area with a stacked washer and dryer. The pool bath has access to a spacious outdoor living area that includes a fireplace, outdoor kitchen and enough seating space to accommodate several table arrangements and lounging furniture around the pool. A large utility room and a four car garage offer plenty of storage space.

A series of staircases lead to various areas in the home. A private staircase leads to a maid’s quarters above the garage that includes a living area with a kitchenette, eating space, bedroom, bath and walk-in closet. Another private staircase off the kitchen area provides access to the casual executive office with a wood finished vaulted ceiling embellished with wood beams, a private balcony overlooking the lake and pool area, a full bath and a walk-in closet for files and storage. The home’s main staircase and an elevator lead to three upstairs bedrooms, each with its own full bath, walk-in closet and access to a balcony either at the front or rear of the home. One of the upstairs bedrooms has been designed to serve as a second master suite.

While the residence has been designed as an ideal place for hosting guests and entertaining, the owners’ privacy is assured with a master suite that is removed from all other areas of the home. The suite includes a comfortable space for the owners’ trusted dogs – a built-in window seat large enough for a double bed overlooking the rear yard and lake just a few feet away from the owners’ bed. The master bath has a defined vanity space, a vaulted wood ceiling and exposed rafters all painted white, and a large double casement window for plenty of natural lighting. A spacious walk-in shower and two huge walk-in closets are other design memory points.

“This Olde Naples residence has been a gratifying project for our firm,” said Weber. “The degree to which the owners stayed engaged throughout the design phase, the beautiful site and the Winfield Companies’ ability to execute the plan flawlessly all contributed to a very smooth design and build process. Completion of a project of this type is certainly strong evidence that while there may still be some concerns about the economy, discerning home owners are quite confident in moving forward with new residential construction projects that are designed to maximize the long-term value of their investment.”
